            Barguna District jail is situated beside the Late Asmatullah Road in the heart of Barguna city.Its started as a sub-jail on 1969. After some times its tends District jail on 1986. Total land space of the jail is 4.00 acres (inside the jail-1.97 acres and outside the jail-2.03 acres). Inside the jail-1.97 acres existing prisoner barracks, female wards, cell bhaban, kitchen, hospital, children ward, pond, canteen, vegetables garden, flower garden, and play ground for prisoners. Outside the jail-2.03 acres existing staff quarter, warders barrack, parade ground, food godown, pump house, and canteen etc. Average 400 prisoner’s approximately stay in the jail always.
